Belgium's most infamous sound for decades is changing soon and coming to a railway crossing near you.
NMBS, the Belgian railway is replacing the current sound at railway crossings all over Belgium in the name of safety. The new digital pulsing sound is more distinct and will be heard in a short radius only, opposed to the current sound heard several blocks away. Big noise reduction and focus improvement in dense populated area's.

The point is, when there's any kind of incident involving railway services, you never know what's going on due to lack of communication, the series of mechanical defects are endless and NMBS personnel strikes - the pose more often than Madonna does but I got to admit, they sure know how to communicate a Change like this one! :)
